The Infusion RN provides clinical assistance to providers by greeting patients, taking vitals, and administering IV infusions and injections. They are also responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, managing drug inventory, and ensuring patient confidentiality.
Candidates must hold an RN degree from an accredited school and have active RN and IV experience within the last two years. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment are required, with Rheumatology or Oncology experience preferred.
Greet patients and sign in Infusion patients according to established protocols Assist Infusion patients to make sure they have the questions answered about the medication they are receiving. Answer incoming calls and deal with inquiries Schedule / Reschedule Infusion patient appointments, if necessary Assist with charting and recording infusion vitals/administration/IV’s/medications Perform verbal pre-infusion questionnaire with patient Obtain vitals on patient prior to beginning infusion, during infusion and at discontinuation Draw labs, if needed Administer injections or IV as requested Assist with removal/discontinuation of IV Maintain sterile environment at all times Maintain drug inventory & medical supply stock Maintain schedules and que medication to make sure drug inventory is correct Obtain external medical reports as required by medical professionals Respond and comply to requests for information Ensure Infusion clinical suite area is well maintained, neat and clean Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality Other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skill, Training and Experience to do the Job Essential An RN degree from an accredited school IV experience in the last 2 years RN experience in the last 2 years A high-level dedication to excellent patient care, office teamwork, detail and accuracy are required Must have good oral and written communication skills, good computer skills, be flexible and dependable, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment Rheumatology or Oncology experience a plus Ability to build rapport with patients Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
