Overview The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Education High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required) Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred) Certification/Licensure Certification must be received within (9) nine months of employment in one of the following certification programs: CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or EMT- Emergency Medical Technician BLS is required within 90 days of hire. Experience One year of clinical/administrative experience (Required)
