The pharmacist is responsible for reviewing, preparing, and dispensing medications for inpatients and outpatients while maintaining legal records. They provide clinical services, oversee pharmacy technicians, and ensure the safe handling of sterile and hazardous products.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy and hold an active license from the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy. Previous hospital experience is desired, along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Under the general supervision of the pharmacy managers, and according to standard procedure, prepares and dispenses medication and pharmaceuticals upon receiving orders from the physician. Documents and maintains all records according to state and federal law.

1. Must be able to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription medication, and/or alcohol. 2. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with other individuals.
Job responsibilities require a considerable amount of physical work. The individual will be required to assist with lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds. The individual must be able to bend over to perform certain duties, e.g., picking up boxes, filling machines, refilling supplies. The individual must also be able to maneuver throughout the halls, stairways, in response to hospital emergencies. Interpretation of environmental input requires visual and auditory skills. A significant amount of writing and computer entry is required.
