The Independent Living Specialist works with SMI clients in their homes and the community to develop essential daily living skills. Responsibilities include assisting with food shopping, hygiene, transportation, and maintaining supportive relationships to sustain recovery.
A high school diploma or GED is required, while an associate degree in a behavioral health field is preferred. Preference is also given to candidates with one or more years of clerical or administrative experience.
