This role requires advanced knowledge of cardiovascular surgery, close collaboration with surgeons and nurses, and a strong focus on patient safety and surgical efficiency by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile field, and managing specialized instruments and equipment.
Two years’ experience required. Flu Vaccine Required - No Exemptions Certificates Required: ACLS*, BLS, NBSTSA, NBSTSA Certification with NBSTSA or NCCT certification accepted if ST was employed as a ST in S.C. prior to January 1, 2008, or completed a ST military training program. (Lawson Code NCST) Education - Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologist training in the U.S. Armed Forces. Any Charting System Experience preferred Trauma Level I Experience preferred Cardiovascular Skills: Angioplasty/stenting, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) Professional Knowledge and Skills: Aseptic Technique, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure Additional Skills: Scrub and Circulate On Call Required
