The RN delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing, planning, and evaluating patient conditions in the MICU. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and may serve as a charge nurse to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and a current Florida RN license, with a BSN required within three years of hire. BLS certification is mandatory on the first day, with ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required based on department timelines.
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care through the application of the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and professional nursing standards. The RN is accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This role maintains responsibility and accountability for assigned patients, including oversight of delegated activities performed by Technical Nurses, Patient Care Associates, Sitters, and other support staff. The RN may also serve in a charge nurse capacity when assigned and is expected to provide care appropriate to the age and developmental needs of the patient population served. Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Experience One (1) year of clinical nursing experience Certifications Specialty nursing certification relevant to clinical practice area Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
