Secure Base Counseling Center (SBCC) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated graduate level clinical intern to join our team as a mental health clinician. • Position: Graduate Level Clinical Intern in our Rehabilitative Programs (Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS) and
• Adult
• Rehabilitative
• Mental

• Services (ARMHS))
• Location: Farmington, Northfield or
• New
• Prague,
• MN (able to drive with in 30 minutes of any office)
• Type: Part-time (flexible scheduling with after school or evening hours required)
• Compensation: $2500 stipend per semester available
• Duration: Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months is highly desired

Position Details

Learn from other therapists and mental health practitioners (newly referred to behavioral health practitioner) through shadowing opportunities Carry a caseload of CTSS/ARMHS clients providing services in the client’s home and in the community. Learn how to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds Provide systemic, trauma-informed care through an attachment lens Learn how to write functional assessment, MHIS forms, treatment plans, and progress notes that meet DHS standards Grow professionally through a supportive, reflective supervisor relationship What SBCC Offers: Compensation options for interns A collaborative and supportive team environment Weekly individual and weekly group supervision that is paid for by SBCC Free professional development and continuing education Opportunities for advancement - many interns stay with SBCC after graduation! Qualifications

Enrolled in a master's program in Counseling Strong communication skills and a commitment to client-centered care Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work at multiple locations throughout the week as dictated by client needs Has reliable vehicle and preferably able to transport clients

Application Process

We are currently accepting applications from potential interns for the spring and summer semesters of the 2026-2027 school year. Intern applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Once you have applied, expect to hear from SBCC within 48 hours to schedule an interview with our internship coordinator.
