Assesses needs and provides medical support to other clinical areas as needed. Works in other centers and programs based on agency need.

​Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge and utilization of equipment Knowledge of medical terminology; Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, utilizing approved DOH abbreviations when documenting in the electronic medical record.
• Ability to maintain accurate and appropriate medical documentation in electronic medical record.
• Ability to follow medical instructions.
• Ability to work with persons of a different race, language, culture, or socioeconomic status.
• Ability to perform successful venipuncture in 2 attempts or less.
• Ability to perform IM Injections

Qualifications: Minimum

Graduation from Medical Assistant Program per Florida Statues 458.3485

Preferred

1 year experience working in a medical office setting Experience with CLIA waived testing AND performing quality controls Experience doing EKG’s and/or spirometry 3 months’ experience doing phlebotomy
