Registered Nurse - Surgical Services: Gonda 7 - Pre/post - RN

RN’s hired into this role will be working primarily in one of 2 areas, either operating room or Pre/Post Op. Gonda 7 RN’s may be trained in other roles in order to provide cross-coverage as patient/practice needs dictate.

The Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse (RN) on Gonda 7 is accountable for the delivery of direct patient care including patient education within the outpatient setting. The RN would be responsible for the perioperative care in the operating room as a circulating RN, coordination and delivery of perianesthesia care in the pre-post area and providing moderate sedation at the direction of the Anesthesiologist or proceduralist in the Gonda 7 Outpatient Procedure Center. The RN plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, teaches patients and families, and orients colleagues and peers.
