May also code other outpatient work types as assigned by the Coding Manager, including Observation, Emergency Department, Ancillary and Recurring Accounts.

Required

High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a Coding Certificate Program is required.
At least one of the following: CCS (Certified Coding Specialist),CPC, RHIA or RHIT is required. In addition, 3 years hospital coding experience preferred which includes coding of outpatient Same Day Surgery records using both ICD-10-CM and CPT-4. Demonstration of skills through completion of a hospital administered advanced coding test with a satisfactory score.

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.

Monday-Friday, 8:00a-4:30p or flexible.

Requirements
