Position Summary: General Summary/Responsibilities:

• The Endoscopy Tech performs technical functions to assist in the delivery of patient care in Manometry or other areas of the facilities as assigned.
• The primary role of Endoscopy Tech is to perform manometry procedures and assuring availability of all sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Essential Duties & Functions: 1.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of manometry.
• 2.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of sterilization practices.
• 3.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of equipment used in the endoscopy procedure and policies.
• 4.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of medications used during endoscopy procedure.
• 5.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of patient care in the center.
• 6.
• Turns the room over in preparation of procedures.
• 1.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of manometry.
• 2.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of sterilization practices.
• 3.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of equipment used in the endoscopy procedure and policies.
• 4.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of medications used during endoscopy procedure.
• 5.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of patient care in the center.
• 6.
• Turns the room over in preparation of procedures.

Qualifications

Education Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED Licensure/Certification/Registration  Certified in manometry. Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience Knowledge/Skills  Must be able to multitask with interruptions while maintaining a professional demeanor  Basic computer knowledge  Strong organizational skills  Effective interpersonal and communication skills Working Conditions: 1. Must be able to push, pull, and assist in lifting up to 300 pounds (patients and equipment). 2. May be exposed to loud noises. 3. May be exposed to aggressive and violent behaviors from patients, family members or visitors. 4. May be exposed to blood and body fluids, including those with tuberculosis, HIV positive, Hepatitis or body infestations. 5.
