Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide quality support to our clients in Saline, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being in a home care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Help with mobility and transferring clients safely as needed.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor clients’ health and wellbeing.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote clients’ social and mental wellbeing.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in personal care or home health care is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and respect privacy.
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient demeanor.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screening.
