Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

• BluePearl Pet Hospital in Studio City, CA is hiring a Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine department!
• Pay: $24.00 - 49.00 / hour This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system.
• We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. *Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

• As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians, you are a liaison between our internists and our clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics as requested by the doctors.
• You will be involved with client contact through phone calls, email, and in person conversations.
• Additionally, you will be assisting with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, filling prescriptions, taking x rays, and obtaining lab samples.
• Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required.
• As an IM Veterinary Technician, you will...
• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
• Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.
• Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations.
