We are seeking an experienced Procedure Nurse or Certified Medical Assistant II to join our Specialty Procedure Clinic. The ideal candidate will have previous procedure or surgical experience and will play a vital role in supporting providers, preparing patients for procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. Prepare procedure rooms by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and functioning properly. Assist providers during specialty procedures by anticipating needs and maintaining an efficient workflow. Prepare and educate patients before procedures, ensuring appropriate documentation and readiness. Perform accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). Assist with endoscopy procedures, including the cleaning, processing, and sterilization of scopes and equipment. Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards throughout all procedures. Pass instruments and sterile supplies to providers during procedures as needed. Clean, restock, and prepare procedure rooms between patients. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of medical supplies and procedure-related equipment. Assist with surgical instrument counts and supply reconciliation before and after procedures. Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and other team members to provide high-quality patient care.
Current Louisiana LPN/RN License or Certified Medical Assistant credential required. Previous procedure, surgical, endoscopy, OB/GYN, GI, Urology, or specialty clinic experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of sterile technique, infection prevention, and instrument processing. Strong organizational, communication, and patient care skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment and support multiple providers. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and transporting supplies and equipment. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Ability to assist with patient positioning and transfers as needed.
