Provide comprehensive virtual medical care focusing on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of obesity and related conditions for adult patients. Coordinate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver inclusive, evidence-based metabolic health services.
Requires a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies, NCCPA certification, and an active Missouri license plus licenses in 5+ other states. Candidates need at least 4 years of clinical experience in ambulatory, family, or internal medicine.
Practice exceptional medicine within knownwell Sees adults for metabolic health services as is appropriate in a virtual setting. This may include sharing a panel with MD/DO + other APCs. Embodies the knownwell mission and values of patient inclusivity in how you deliver care. Coordinates with the broader care team to ensure the patient has the support they need. Documents as necessary to ensure accurate billing, including review of remote patient monitoring data. Communicates with patients in a timely manner through our portal for questions and concerns that have been pre-screened to necessitate a clinician response. See adults ages 18+ Ensure patients feel known well Ensure panel is open to any individual, regardless of their current health status and comorbidities. Listen to the aspirations of the patient and ensure care is tailored to the patient’s unique health journey. Provide an environment in which patients feel comfortable and free from judgment. Offer exceptional encouragement as patients reach their goals. Coordinate across the collaborative care team Escalate any concerns to your dedicated site leadership team. Provide clinical guidance to medical assistants and nursing teams as assigned. Stay current with licensure and appropriate re-certifications.
Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies certification by the Physician Assistant certifying body (NCCPA), with 10+ state licensure and willingness to obtain additional as needed Active license in Missouri required You have active, unrestricted licenses to practice in 5+ states in addition to MO, and a willingness to obtain additional as needed by the organization. Preferred states include CA, TX, FL, NY, PA, IL, OH, GA, NC, MI Unrestricted DEA licensure and prescribe authority (per state practice regulation). At least 4 years of clinical experience in an ambulatory care setting, family or internal medicine; experience in chronic condition management and weight management preferred. If no formal training in weight management, willingness to participate in knownwell clinical education and training plan for weight management and/or pursue OMA APC certification. We are unable to sponsor visas currently, so you are authorized to work in the United States. Must have access to high-speed internet and phone lines to support a fully remote practice.
