• At the administrative direction of the Radiology Director and the clinical direction of the Radiologist, independently performs majority of exams with minimal supervision done within the section of radiology.
• Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to healthcare organizations.
• Cognitive and technical knowledge and ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care.
• The ability to retrieve, communicate, and present data and information both verbally and in writing as required.
• Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken and written work.
• Must be flexible with work schedule.
• Must maintain licenses of NMDRCB and must be CT registered with ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality CT procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist.
• Responsible for accurate and timely completion of CT/Radiology procedures.
• Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations.
• Operate head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan.
• Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology.
• Cleaning and maintaining CT Scan equipment.
• Must be flexible with work schedule.
• Attend staff meetings as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience • Required

• Associate degree from an Accredited Radiology/CT Program
• Required: 2+ years related experience
• Required: Must be ARRT (R) (CT) registered
• Required: Active NM MIRTP Licensure (Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Program)
• Required: Current BLS
