Provide culturally competent mental health services, including assessments and therapy, to individuals and families within the Latino community. Collaborate with healthcare providers and participate in community outreach to reduce mental health stigma.
Requires a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field with at least 2 years of experience in mental health therapy. Proficiency in Spanish and experience working with diverse Latino populations are highly desired.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Collaborate with clients to set therapeutic goals and monitor progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with agency policies and legal requirements. Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers, healthcare providers, and community organizations, to coordinate care and provide holistic support to clients. Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Participate in community outreach and educational programs to raise awareness about mental health services and reduce stigma within the Latino community. Stay updated on the latest research and developments in mental health therapy to continuously improve service delivery. Attend regular supervision and training sessions to enhance professional skills and ensure quality of care. Support the agency's mission by actively participating in team meetings and contributing to program development and evaluation efforts. QualificationsRequired Education: Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience providing mental health therapy or counseling services. Experience working with diverse populations, particularly within Latino communities. Proven track record of conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans. Required Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of mental health disorders and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all professional interactions. Proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable to effectively communicate with Latino clients. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities. Empathy and cultural sensitivity to work effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
