• Description: Medical Lab Scientist or MLT, Day Shift Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
• Position
• Purpose: The Medical Technologist performs phlebotomy and laboratory testing. Has knowledge of the clinical significance of results, monitors and understands operation of instrumentation, and reports results accurately and rapidly. **This position will work 5 days a week from 6:00am - 2:30 pm; Monday - Friday with every other weekend rotation.
• What you'll do: Performs all clinical testing in assigned department. Records and reports test results accurately and promptly. Performs and interprets quality control testing following established guidelines. Maintains a high level of quality assurance. Practices established safety procedures, including Universal Precautions and proper use of safety equipment. Able to recognize a problem by following prescribed strategies and make necessary corrections. Where no present criteria for decisions are available, will consult with supervisor/manager. In absence of supervisor/manager, will act to determine final decision. Coordinates and evaluates new reagents, procedures and equipment as requested by supervisor/manager. Performs routine scheduled and specialized maintenance of laboratory equipment.
