The Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacy Technician will report to the ambulatory infusion manager, and will provide distributive pharmacy services primarily to outpatients of the Medical University clinics. This position will address the needs of ambulatory infusion patients, and ensure timely and appropriate dispensing of infusion medication to patients for assigned areas; will be trained and proficient in preparation of hazardous and non-hazardous sterile products in accordance to USP 797 and USP 800 standards. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team-player with excellent time management and communication skills. This position may require the candidate to cover other ambulatory infusion pharmacy operations as needed. Additional
Education: High School Degree or Equivalent Work Experience: 2 years Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the State of South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP)is required and must be maintained. Must obtain and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)) certification: Team members as of 11/1/2023: within 1 year of 11/1/2023. New Team members as of 11/1/2023: within 6 months of hire. New team members who are enrolled or will enroll in a pharmacy technician training program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and/or recognized by PTCB, have 30 days post program completion to obtain certification.
