Support MAT and psychiatric patients by preparing for visits, documenting vitals, and coordinating care with providers and pharmacies. Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy, medication administration, and processing prior authorizations.
Requires a high school diploma, graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, and AAMA and BLS certifications. Candidates must have at least 2 years of healthcare experience and the ability to work with sensitive patient populations.
HealthFirst Family Care Center, a Certified Great Place to Work® and a wonderful place to make a difference, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team of mission-minded healthcare professionals, supporting our psychiatric nurse practitioner by working in our Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and psychiatric programs.
This position is 32-34 hours/week with a schedule of Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Unlike most of our other Medical Assistant positions, there are no late night coverage expectations for this position.
You’re a compassionate, highly organized Medical Assistant with a passion for making care more accessible, especially for those navigating substance use recovery. You're certified, confident with EMRs, experienced in phlebotomy and clinical support, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-centered environment. You know how to keep patients at ease, and you understand that kindness, consistency, and communication go a long way in helping people heal.
