• The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing.
• The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles.
• The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
• The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
• The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.

Education

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
• Valid
• Ohio
• RN license
• Experience: 1 year of acute care, hospital-based RN experience is required.
• Knowledge/Skills: o Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor o Basic computer knowledge o Strong organizational skills o Effective interpersonal and communication skills
