Job description

Full-Time Position - 4 Days per Week - Sign On Bonus Offered!

Toledo Clinic's Dermatology Office located on Secor Rd in Toledo, OH is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to provide both clinical and administrative MA support in a very busy practice. This position is Monday - Thursday (7:00am - 4:30pm). Employee benefits are offered.

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A). For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants will be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

General Summary: Perform various clerical duties to support the operation of the office and as needed performs clinical duties

Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.

Duties: & Responsibilities:

Example of Essential Duties

1.
Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
2.
Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
3.
Accurately enter patient information in to the electronic medical record.
4.
Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
5.
Updating insurance information.
6.
Escorting patients to exam rooms.
7.
Preparing and maintaining exam rooms.

Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to)

8. Assisting physician with minor procedures. 9. Preparing patients for physicians (vitals, histories, etc.). 10. Answering patient questions at the request of the physician. 11. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Required

Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
Registration or Certification as a Medical Assistant
Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed.
Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
Medical Assisting Credential (RMA, CMA, CCMA)
Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures.

Education

• Medical Assisting degree or diploma required.

Preferred

• Previous clerical experience in a medical office.
