The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive, specialized care to women across the lifespan, focusing on reproductive health, gynecological issues, family planning, and wellness promotion.
Practices under the standard procedure established for the Nurse Practitioner role consistent with company policy and in accordance with all legal requirements.
Conducts age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol.
Performs routine physical examinations within scope of practice, including pelvic examinations, breast examinations, PAP tests, and any relevant infection screenings. Performs IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals, Endometrial Biopsies, works with Pessaries - education & maintenance; may perform Colposcopies.
Provides education on women’s issues, preventative care, contraceptive methods, and lifestyle modifications.
Orders diagnostic tests and prescribes medications within scope of practice.
Provides expert, compassionate care for women during the menopausal transition (perimenopause, menopause, postmenopausal) by managing symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep issues, educating patients on treatment options (hormonal/non-hormonal), offering lifestyle advice (diet, exercise, supplements), and supporting overall well-being with evidence-based care.
Confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborates with others in the department to ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators and participates in the overall coordination of patient care.
Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive status, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy.

Qualifications
Must have active, unrestricted, Indiana APRN license, CSR,& DEA registered in Indiana.
Must be able to meet all credentialing requirements.
Strong understanding of healthcare principles, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology.
Ability to analyze complex situations, make sound clinical judgments, and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
Effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Ability to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures clearly and empathetically.
Strong computer proficiency and understanding and knowledge of EHR and healthcare technologies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Willingness to pursue continuing education and stay updated on advances in Women’s Health.
Must be able to work at each practice location as scheduled.
Required Education & Experience
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MS, MSN, or DNP).
Board certification in WHNP, FNP, or ANP
Minimum 1 year of experience as an advanced practice provider working in Women's Health required.
Can perform both IUD and Nexplanon device insertions and removals required.
Must be able to read mammography and sonography imaging.
Knowledge of lab order sets.

Pay or shift range: $90,000 USD to $115,000
