Performs pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic laboratory duties, including waived and moderate complex testing and EKG collections. Responsible for sorting and processing high-level specimens and managing laboratory inventory and equipment maintenance.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED with 2-5 years of experience, while an Associate's Degree is preferred. Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) and Phlebotomy certifications.

Role Purpose Performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned.
Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc. Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate. Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab--including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests. Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times. Inventory management, equipment cleaning, maintenance, loading, etc. Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED Experience 2-5 years Supervisor Experience No Experience Preferred Requirements Education Associate's Degree Licenses & Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Phlebotomy
