Requires a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of family work experience or a Master's in Social Work (MSW). Proficiency in Spanish or Chinese Mandarin is mandatory.

Center for Family Life in Sunset Park (CFL) (https://centerforfamilylife.org), is a nationally recognized social service organization. CFL's mission is to promote positive outcomes for children and adults in Sunset Park, Brooklyn by providing a comprehensive range of neighborhood-based family and social services.
I. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to Collaborating with families to develop goals and help them achieve success Using a therapeutic approach to working with families Maintaining a caseload of 12 Providing family, individual, and/or couples counseling Providing direct advocacy and support to families Acting as a liaison in the Sunset Park community between social service agencies, mental health agencies, and families and making relevant referrals Accompanying families to school meetings as well as appointments to access services in the community Conducting home visits as required by the program Collaborating with CFL program staff, school staff, ACS, Public Assistance, Medicaid, Housing Authority, multiple systems and other community providers Providing culturally competent preventative and foster care services, which includes collaborating with families to develop and review service plan goals and their implementation Conducting psychosocial assessments and home assessments Attending weekly supervision with clinical supervisor Leading parenting groups and workshops within the community Managing a flexible work schedule, which includes 3 evenings per week Maintaining timely?case?record/documentation requirements II.
Education/Degree minimum requirement: Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience working with families, or Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent mental health professional Previous experience working with children and families Highly organized and able to manage time efficiently Flexibility and the ability to work well as a member of a team Ability to set limits and maintain helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriately Bilingual: Spanish or Chinese (Mandarin) required III.
