Candidates must have a high school diploma and be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with a state-recognized certification. Previous clinical experience is required, with a preference for those with pediatric experience.
We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team in Mobile, Alabama. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and families while working in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate is personable, professional, organized, adaptable, and committed to providing exceptional care and service. This vital role serves as one of the first points of contact for our patients and plays an important part in creating a positive patient experience while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
Patient Care Services Assist physicians and providers in delivering high-quality patient care. Obtain and document patient medical histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures. Perform clinical duties including: Taking vital signs Coordinate and order diagnostic testing as directed by the provider. Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care under the supervision of the physician. Assist providers with maintaining accurate and complete patient records. Display professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate patient care.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with certification based on a state-recognized certifying examination. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Previous clinical experience required; pediatric experience preferred. Must be able to work in person at our Mobile, Alabama location.
