What
You’ll Do: As a Med Tech/ CNA II, you will provide compassionate hands-on care while assisting with safe medication administration under the supervision of licensed nursing staff: Safely prepare, administer, and document medications Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, toileting, mobility) Obtain and document vital signs Monitor residents and report changes in condition to nursing staff Support hydration, nutrition, and resident comfort needs Encourage participation in activities and restorative programs Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas and follow infection control procedures Accurately document care and medication administration Attend required in-service training and education sessions Perform other duties as assigned Why Choose Ginger Cove? QualificationsJob
Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required. CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain prior to employment. Current certification as Medication Technician in the state of Maryland. Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant-II in the state of Maryland. Minimum two years’ experience as Medication Technician; geriatric experience preferred. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills. Computer literacy. Must have completed or be willing to complete educational requirements imposed by State regulations within the specified time-frame. Must present self in a professional manner, display genuine concern for elderly and tact in dealing with others.
