The Medical Assistant II provides direct patient care and clinical support within an endocrinology specialty, including performing lab work and assisting with procedures. They also manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, registration, and maintaining accurate EMR documentation.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and a current Medical Assistant certification from an approved organization (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA). AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, along with knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA standards.
Position Title: Medical Assistant II
Location: 201 Pennsylvania Pkwy, Suite 310, Carmel, IN 46280
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Under the supervision of the designated supervisor and assigned physician, the Medical Assistant II performs duties related to direct patient care, administrative tasks, and clinical support within the endocrinology specialty. The role ensures smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and efficient coordination of procedures, treatments, and referrals. The MA II also supports front office functions, maintains EMR files, and may assist with physician order entry as directed.
Qualifications: & Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant program graduation preferred. Current certification as a Medical Assistant from one of the following organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Health Career Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
