Perform high-quality non-invasive cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies including 2D, 3D, and Doppler imaging. Ensure diagnostic completeness of studies and communicate critical findings to physicians in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Deliver diagnostic excellence—performing high-quality echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies with precision, clinical insight, and compassion while keeping patients at the center of every exam.

At SimonMed, diagnostic quality starts with you. Our Echocardiography / Vascular Technologists are essential to delivering the advanced outpatient imaging our patients and referring physicians depend on. From 2D and 3D echo to contrast-enhanced and strain imaging, arterial and venous studies to carotid and peripheral vascular exams, this role demands both technical precision and the ability to recognize what matters—and communicate it clearly.

We are looking for a sonographer who takes pride in diagnostically complete studies, thrives in a fast-paced but supportive environment, and brings genuine care to every patient interaction. If you find purpose in high-caliber clinical work, value efficient workflows and advanced technology, and want to grow within a collaborative team that holds itself to a higher standard—this is where you belong.

What You Bring

Precision and clinical expertise

You perform the full spectrum of non-invasive cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies—2D, 3D, contrast-enhanced, strain, and M-mode echocardiography with Doppler and color flow, plus arterial, venous, carotid, and peripheral vascular exams—in full accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. You obtain accurate diagnostic images, Doppler waveforms, and measurements, and you evaluate your own work for diagnostic completeness before it reaches the interpreting physician.

Clinical judgment and communication

You understand cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology at a level that lets you recognize abnormal findings in real time and communicate significant observations to physicians clearly and without delay. Your hemodynamic assessments are thorough, your escalation instincts are sharp, and you do not wait to be asked when something needs attention.

Mastery of standards and systems

You are proficient in PACS, RIS, EMR, and Studycast systems. Your documentation is accurate, complete, and entered in real time. You maintain equipment through routine QC checks, follow infection control and HIPAA standards without exception, and keep your certifications and competencies current.

Agility and autonomy

You manage your own workflow in a high-volume outpatient environment, adapt when exam complexity or patient needs shift mid-appointment, and keep things moving without needing constant direction. You work well independently and bring the same standard to every exam—whether it is your first of the day or your last.

Requirements

Requires ARDMS (RDCS or RVT) or CCI (RCS) certification, BLS certification, and IV certification. Candidates must have completed an approved Cardiovascular Ultrasound Technology program and possess proficiency in adult echocardiography.

Market context

California respiratory care roles stay competitive

California allied-health employers often look for respiratory therapists because hospitals and acute-care settings need coverage across inpatient, emergency, and critical care units. These roles are competitive because employers usually want a CoARC-accredited graduate degree, a California Respiratory Care Practitioner license, RRT or CRT certification, and recent experience. Before applying, confirm your license and certification details match the posting; job requirements and benefits here are AI-summarized from the original job description, saving you research time.
