Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus Based on Eligibility The purpose of this position is to provide MRI scan examinations to patients of all ages.
Technologists provide patient care services using MRI imaging.
This includes assessing the patient’s condition, operating equipment, proficiency in PACS, preparing examination rooms, and maintaining equipment, supplies, and medications.
Technologists are also required to maintain necessary patient records and participate in the departmental Performance Improvement Program.
Night and weekend call is required when scheduled at PMC.
Confidentiality is maintained and special needs are communicated to physician immediately. Transfers patient to exam table; ensures proper covering of patient according to policy and procedure. Arranges, attaches, or adjusts immobilization and support devices according to procedure, ensuring limitation of patient movement. Assesses patient’s condition & determines proper breathing instructions (utilizing it properly), exposure factors. Completes all procedures scheduled during the shift without interference to the quality of work; coordinates schedule with other technologists to provide for a steady workflow. Performs related duties as required.
Required: Education: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program with an Associate’s degree or equivalent. Licensures/Certifications: Registered with ARRT American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
