Provide emotional support, companionship, and specialized therapies to hospice patients. Assist the bereavement program through outreach, support groups, and administrative tasks.
No prior healthcare experience is required as training is provided. Candidates must demonstrate empathy, pass a background check, and commit to a regular volunteer schedule.
Offer emotional support and companionship to patients Assist in providing specialized therapies such as music therapy, pet therapy, and other alternative therapies Work closely with the hospice care team to ensure patient needs are met Support patients' families and friends through Bereavement Program activities such as outreach, support groups, and administrative work Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, as well as patient privacy policies
No prior experience in healthcare is required; training will be provided Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and excellent interpersonal skills Availability to commit to a regular volunteer schedule for this unpaid position Must pass a background check and comply with all Bloom Healthcare policies and procedures
