The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and providing ongoing medication management for adolescents in a residential setting. They collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to lead psychiatric care, provide staff education, and support family reintegration.
Candidates must be a Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts with Federal DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance certificates. Experience in psychiatry is required, with a preference for those who have worked with high-acuity adolescent populations in residential or inpatient settings.
NFI Massachusetts Inc., a well-respected non-profit human service agency, is seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our DMH-contracted locked Intensive Residential Treatment Programs located in Westborough, MA.
Our programs serve adolescents with serious emotional and behavioral health needs who require intensive, structured residential treatment. We are committed to helping youth and families stabilize, build skills, and work toward reunification and successful transition back to the community. We are looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who shares our commitment to compassionate, thoughtful, team-based care for complex adolescents.
Our co-ed, secure residential programs serve up to 30 adolescents with serious emotional disturbances and complex psychiatric, trauma-related, developmental, behavioral, and family-system needs. These programs are licensed by the Department of Mental Health and accredited by The Joint Commission.
As the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a central role in psychiatric assessment, medication management, treatment planning, staff consultation, and ongoing psychiatric care. This role offers the opportunity to work with adolescents over the course of several months in a residential setting, allowing for meaningful longitudinal treatment, observation of therapeutic change, and close collaboration with the full treatment team.
