The registered nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individual patient care with a focus on IV therapy and PICC line insertion. They also serve as an educational resource for IV therapy and function as a charge nurse to supervise unit operations.
Requires a nursing degree (BSN preferred) and a valid Connecticut state nurse license. Candidates must have two years of acute care medical/surgical experience and obtain PICC competency within six months.

Works under the patient care manager/clinical coordinator. The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and supervises individual patient care on a nursing unit according to policy and procedure.
