The Emotional Brain Institute (EBI) is a multidisciplinary institute aimed at addressing fundamental questions in neuroscience and neuropsychiatry. We seek to hire a research scientist to carry out neurobiological experiments on animals, aimed at understanding sensory and cognitive deficits in neuropsychiatric disease. JOB DUTIES: This job will involve stereotaxic surgeries in mice, histology, immunohistochemistry, multiphoton microscopy, electrophysiology, and other basic laboratory tasks. It will involve colony monitoring and maintenance. Further, it will involve training others in the lab to carry out these surgeries. Travel to research conferences, both domestic and international, to present results is likely. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree and three years of professional research experience in an appropriate field or master's degree in an appropriate field may substitute for one year experience, and Ph.D in an appropriate field may substitute for an additional year of experience.
