The Physician Assistant manages pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients, including performing physical exams and daily rounds. They are also responsible for operating room duties and coordinating care with attending physicians and nursing staff.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and be a graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program. Required certifications include a New York State PA license, NCCPA certification, and BLS certification.
Performs a variety of procedures for the pre-operative and post-operative care of surgical patients. Performs additional related duties.
6. *ADA Essential Functions Bachelor's Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited (Accreditation Review Committee for Physician Assistant Programs (ARC-PA) program, required. Licensed Physician Assistant (LPA) by the New York State Department of Education, required.Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), required.Current BLS certification, required.
