Provide social work services to patients and families in the Emergency Department and Med/Surg floors to resolve personal and environmental problems. Responsibilities include peer supervision, intern education, and assisting with program planning and organization of services.
Requires a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or Family Therapy (MFT) and BLS certification. Candidates must have knowledge of federal and state reimbursement laws and regulations.
Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited University/College OR Masters in Family Therapy (MFT) MFT applicants must have prior hospital experience BLS for Healthcare Provider American Heart Association Working knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies and appeal procedures as relative to the Federal, State and other reimbursement programs Must be able to display good working relationships with patients, families, medical and nursing personnel, and all others employed at the hospital
Acute Care Hospital experience LCSW (Licensed by the State of CA Behavioral Science Examiners Board) Familiar with different levels of care (e.g., Home Health, SNF) Knowledgeable about LPS/AB2275 processes.
