The Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer under the supervision of a qualified physician for diagnosis and treatment, performs a wide-range of high-risk perinatal diagnostic sonographic procedures using high-frequency sound waves to assess fetal development, maternal and fetal anatomy, and vascular structures. The role requires specialized skills in maternal-fetal imaging and supports the evaluation, diagnosis, and care of complex pregnancies within the ambulatory setting.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Minimum 1 year of experience in high-risk obstetric ultrasound in a hospital or maternal-fetal medicine setting.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
ARDMS certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
