Physical Therapy Assistant PRN

Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of physical therapy principles and techniques, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping patients improve their mobility and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients
• Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional training
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and their families on proper home exercise programs and self-care techniques
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in the field

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of electronic medical record systems
• Flexible schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an outpatient or inpatient physical therapy setting in long term care facility
• Knowledge of a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques
