Collaborates with physicians to diagnose and treat patients, performing technical procedures such as suturing and injections. Coordinates communication between the healthcare team and families to ensure quality care and patient safety.
Requires a Master of Science in Nursing or graduation from an approved Physician Assistant program with appropriate state licensure. Must hold current CPR, BLS, and ACLS certifications and be DEA/CDS eligible.
Under supervision, and in collaboration with physician colleagues, assists with diagnosing and treating patients; performs professional duties and technical procedures of the particular area of specialty to provide health care services, such as, operative procedures, suturing, and injections. Makes initial diagnosis and order appropriate tests and treatment. Assists in surgery where applicable; assists with facilitating and coordinating communication between the health care team, patient and patient’s family. Coordinates care to ensure quality, effective care and patient safety.
Total Rewards The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
