About the role

Assists in the daily organization and function of the operating room while supporting nurses and physicians in patient care. Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile field, managing surgical equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

About the Role

As a Certified Surgical Tech (CST), you’ll be a crucial part of our OR team, ensuring every procedure runs seamlessly, safely, and on schedule. You’ll anticipate needs before they arise, uphold sterile technique like second nature, and create an environment where surgeons and nurses can perform at their best.

  • What you’ll do
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields before and during surgical procedures
  • Anticipate surgeon and team needs with speed and accuracy
  • Ensure all equipment and instruments are functioning and ready
  • Uphold aseptic technique and enforce infection control standards
  • Perform accurate surgical counts and take corrective action when needed
  • Assist with case setup, room turnover, and supply management
  • Collaborate closely with RNs, surgeons, and anesthesia providers
  • Keep calm under pressure, stay a step ahead, and never lose focus on patient safety
  • What you bring
  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or equivalent certification (preferred)
  • BLS certification (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of operating room experience, preferably in an ASC
  • Urology and robotic experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of sterile technique, instrumentation, and regulatory standards
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset; no task is beneath you
  • The ability to think critically, move with purpose, and act with integrity

Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma, BLS certification, and at least two years of operating room experience. Candidates must have experience in ambulatory surgery centers and proficiency with Electronic Medical Records.
