The COTA will provide occupational therapy services in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, documenting patient care and communicating progress to supervisors and families. Responsibilities also include managing patient scheduling, charging records, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited COTA program with an associate's degree and hold a valid AOTA certification and state license. CPR certification is required, and previous experience in an inpatient setting is preferred.

Mosaic Life Care provides Inpatient Rehabilitation/Post-Acute Care in St. Joseph, MO. Therapy plays a very important role in recovery from a life-altering injury or illness. We offer a hospital-based physical rehabilitation program for the treatment of those who have experienced a debilitating injury or illness. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!
We are looking for a dynamic Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant who is passionate about helping others and is a team player!

· Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs
· Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records
· Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements
· Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition
· Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: · Candidates must have certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
· Graduate of an accredited American Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an associate’s degree
· Current and valid state AOTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the states where services are rendered
· Inpatient experience preferred
· CPR certification (when required)
