Description Join an energetic, patient-focused team! MedStar Radiology Network is currently seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a Full Time Monday - Friday (7:30am - 4pm) position at our outpatient imaging center located in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years experience as a MRI Technologist EDUCATION: Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) and maintain current valid registration from ARRT or ARMIT. MR advanced registration through ARRT or ARMIT is required upon hire for IDTF centers. Non-IDTF centers require MR advanced registry within the first 12 months of employment. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Knowledge of routine to complex MRI procedures and protocols. Skill in operation of MRI equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment. Ability to work independently and multitask. Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely. Demonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology. Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data. Imaging studies are an essential component of preventative care and treatment, and having the best diagnostic equipment possible is a vital step to good preventive health for our patients.
