The Certified Respiratory Therapist assesses and treats patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, specifically within a high-acuity NICU environment. Responsibilities include managing advanced respiratory equipment, performing ABG collection, and providing ventilatory support.
Candidates must have an associate degree from an approved Respiratory Care program and be certified by the NBRC. A current Florida Respiratory Therapist License and BLS certification are required.

The Certified Respiratory Therapist assesses, treats, and cares for patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. This role is responsible for delivering therapeutic procedures, managing advanced respiratory equipment, and supporting high-acuity patient populations, including neonates. Key Responsibilities Assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions Initiate and manage therapeutic respiratory procedures Operate ventilators, pulmonary diagnostics, and physiologic monitoring equipment Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis Provide airway management, oxygen therapy, and ventilatory support Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams Ensure compliance with Orlando Health policies and clinical standards
