- One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Registered Nurse (RN) on our 30-bed Neuroscience Unit at Mercy San Juan Medical Center, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.
- Our unit is a Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center of Excellence, where all stroke patients are admitted/transferred, and we also specialize in spine surgery patients, with plans for Joint Commission Designation as a Spine Center of Excellence in the near future.
- Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans.

Documentation
Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.

Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Job Requirements This is a Break Relief position which relieves nurses in the department for their lunches and breaks during the 1000-1630 shift.
Required
- Current CA RN License Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association. Two (2) years acute care RN experience caring for patients with medical surgical conditions Recently taken Neuro Classes American Heart Association Advanced

- Support (ASLS) within six (6) months of hire
- Preferred: One (1) year Neuro experience Neuro certification and proven recent ability to care for both Neuro Medical and Neuro Surgical patients Basic Neuro (or) Advanced Neuro (or) Popouri training Certified Neuroscience RN or Stroke Certified RN certification
