Duties & Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour call coverage for Gastroenterology service, including in-house rounding and procedures. Round on hospitalized GI patients (average 5-6 per day) and conduct new consults (1-2 per day). Perform diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures (Colonoscopy, EGD, Banding, Polypectomy, etc.; ERCP preferred). Manage acute GI bleeding and other emergent GI conditions. Collaborate with RNs and CRNAs in Endoscopy suite; no supervision of APPs.
