  • The position is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the rehabilitation department, ensuring equipment is prepared, helping with patient transport, and assisting therapists during treatment sessions.
  • The Rehab Tech is an integral part of the rehabilitation team, ensuring patient comfort and contributing to the efficient operation of the rehab facility.
  • Essential Duties Assist therapists with patient treatment sessions by preparing equipment, monitoring patient progress, and providing hands-on support as directed.
  • Transport patients to and from therapy sessions within the facility, ensuring safety and timeliness.
  • Prepare and maintain the cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and treatment areas.
  • Support therapists in implementing therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities as directed by the licensed therapy staff.
  • Communicate with therapists and nursing staff to ensure the smooth coordination of patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient activity and equipment use in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Provide basic patient care, such as positioning, assisting with mobility, and offering comfort measures during therapy sessions.
  • Demonstrates flexibility with assignments within professional scope/duties/licensure.
  • Participate in care team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and home health care.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and filing paperwork as needed.
