Must be a high school graduate with CPR/BLS certification and certification as a Patient Care Technician from NHA, NCCT, or equivalent. Required technical skills include phlebotomy and EKG proficiency.
The primary purpose of the Patient Care Technician (Certified) position is to be responsible for the delivery of safe, quality patient/family focused care and services under the direction of a Professional Registered Nurse. The Patient Care Technician (Certified) is a member of a designated care team and collaborates with team members in achieving goals. Patient care is provided congruent with the patient/family developmental stage and cultural expectations.
Certified as a Patient Care Technician by National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or equivalent. Ability to read and write English. Ability to lift/move patients with or without reasonable accommodations. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to organize the activities of multiple patients. High School graduate or equivalent.
