Provide direct nursing care to hospice residents and oversee nursing assistants while maintaining accurate patient records. Coordinate with the medical team to identify patient needs and manage medication orders and narcotic counts.
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in Virginia with at least two years of relevant nursing experience. Requires a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and the ability to handle the physical and emotional demands of terminal care.

Hospice of the Piedmont is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to provide personal care services to Hospice House patients.
Direct Patient Care: Provides nursing care to Hospice residents and oversees nursing assistants. Team Collaboration: Works with the team to identify patient care needs.
Reports changes in residents' conditions to relevant medical staff.
Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Two years’ relevant nursing experience required. Ability to manage all aspects of terminal care, health team service coordination, and documentation. Emotionally mature and caring individual willing to give support and assistance to terminally ill and their families. Basic to intermediate proficiency in word processing software. Driver’s license, personal automobile, and current automobile liability insurance.

The employee frequently is required to stand, sit and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push up to 100 pounds in a wheelchair. Noise level is low. Physical and emotional health is necessary for the accomplishment of position duties. Due to the nature of services provided, it may be necessary at times for employees to work beyond scheduled work hours to ensure adequate patient care.
