Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Critical Care Tech, you will perform direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with RNs or physicians, facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with the team to meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient.
Every day you will assist in patient care, order/receive/stock supplies for the department/unit, and help support staff with filing, medical records, and various daily tasks, all while ensuring continuous communication and collaboration within the care team.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong patient care skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, meticulous attention to detail in supply management, and a commitment to supporting the critical care team in a fast-paced environment.
Communicates with RN and Physician regarding patient/family observations in an ongoing fashion to assist in the treatment of patients, and communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.
Performs a variety of technical tasks (i.e., IV insertion, splinting, wound care, etc.) as directed by the RN or physician according to established clinic policies, procedures and standards to provide quality patient care within hospital and/or department guidelines.
Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members, assisting the care team in achieving daily patient and family goals.
Accurately and timely documents all tasks, observations, and procedures performed on the patient record according to medical and legal standards, and maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
Demonstrates effective use of clinical strategies to ensure patient and associate safety.
Collaborates with medicine, nursing, and other healthcare professionals regarding the plan of care, follow-up, and evaluation for the patient and family.
