The psychiatrist is responsible for diagnosing and treating mental illnesses through various methods, including psychotherapy and medication. They will provide clinical services to patients and ensure compliance with medical protocols and documentation.
A Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) is required, along with a preference for one or more years of post-graduate practice. Candidates must be licensed in the state of operation and board certified in psychiatry.
